Classic recipe for a traditional cheesecake

Classic recipe for a traditional cheesecake:

- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 32 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries), for topping
- Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (162°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.

2. In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.

3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until creamy and smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4. Add the sour cream and flour to the cream cheese mixture, and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.

6. Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for about 60-70 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

7. Once baked, remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Then, run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen the cheesecake.

8. Allow the cheesecake to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to firm up.

9. Before serving, carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Top the cheesecake with fresh berries and dust with powdered sugar if desired.

10. Slice and serve. Enjoy your homemade cheesecake!
