Hope you like it 😊

- 2 large onions

- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1 teaspoon paprika

- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

- 1 cup buttermilk

- Vegetable oil, for frying

1. Slice the onions into 1/2 inch thick rings and separate them.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well.

3. Pour the buttermilk into a separate bowl.

4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to about 350°F (175°C).

5. Dip each onion ring into the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off.

6. Coat the buttermilk-covered onion ring in the flour mixture, ensuring it is evenly coated. Shake off any excess flour.

7. Carefully place the coated onion ring into the hot oil. Repeat the process with the remaining rings, avoiding overcrowding the pan.

8. Fry the onion rings for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking.

9. Use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove the cooked onion rings from the oil and transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain off any excess oil.

10. Repeat the frying process with the remaining onion rings.

11. Once all the rings are cooked, serve them immediately as a delicious snack or side dish. Enjoy!

You can also add additional seasonings, pepper or chili powder to spice up the onion rings .
