 Recipe for Glutinous Rice with Mango

Rice mango is the popular dissert in Thailand it's call 

 "Khao Neeo Mamuang"


- 2 cup glutinous rice 

- 2 cup coconut milk

- 3/4 cup sugar

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 3 ripe mangoes


👉 Rinse the glutinous rice in cold water a few times until the water is clear. Then, soak the rice in water for at least 5 hours or overnight.

👉 After soaking, drain the water from the rice.  Steam the glutinous rice for about 25-30 minutes until it is tender and cooked through.

👉 While the rice is steaming, prepare the coconut sauce. In a small saucepan, heat the coconut milk over medium heat. Add sugar and salt, stirring until dissolved. Simmer for about 7 minutes, then remove from heat and set aside to cool.

👉 Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a mixing bowl and pour half of the coconut sauce over the rice. Mix gently, ensuring that each grain is coated with the sauce. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.

👉 Peel the mangoes and slice them into thin pieces.

👉 To serve, place a mound of the sticky rice on a serving plate or bowl. Top it with a few slices of fresh mango. Drizzle some of the remaining coconut sauce over the top. You can also sprinkle some sesame seeds or crushed peanuts .
