How to cook bitter melon with eggs


Hi mom... This time I want to share a recipe that you may have never tried before, I found this recipe when I was in Hong Kong, it's called stir-fried bitter melon with eggs. Maybe not everyone likes bitter melon because of its bitter taste. But for those who like it, they will tell you that bitter melon is one of the delicious vegetables.

Most people cook bitter melon by stir-frying it or frying it with flour, some people even just boil it. This time, I will cook it by combining it with eggs. The recipe is as follows:


1 medium-sized bitter melon

2 eggs

3 cloves of garlic

Salt to taste

Sufficient amount of cooking oil

Cooking instructions:

Clean and remove the seeds from the bitter melon, then thinly slice it. 

Sprinkle some salt on the bitter melon, squeeze out the water, and wash it clean. This will soften the bitter melon and reduce its bitter taste. 

Then beat the eggs in a bowl with a little salt. 

Heat up a frying pan and add some cooking oil. 

Add the garlic, then add the bitter melon and stir-fry it until it is cooked to your desired level of tenderness.

 Then pour the beaten eggs over the bitter melon, stir gently so that the eggs stick to the slices of bitter melon. The eggs don't need to be fully cooked, they will taste better when slightly runny. 

Serve the bitter melon with  rice for a delicious meal.
